Weitz’s ability to adhere to tight budgets and meet challenging schedules has given us the opportunity to construct more than $721 million worth of educational facilities. Our clients include Iowa State University, Drake University, Xavier University, Arizona State University, Palm Beach Atlantic College and Creighton University.

Governmental Construction —
Weitz's dedication to form and function extends into the public arena. We provide months of preconstruction services to ensure all cost, schedule and quality issues achieve the desired result. Weitz is experienced in creating meeting spaces, parking, landscaping, site lighting, irrigation systems and more. Plus, we're up to the challenge of incorporating new elements into existing components, such as replacing mechanical and electrical systems.

Religious Construction —
When constructing a religious building, Weitz takes care to practice the utmost respect for each faith. By coordinating with the building committee, architects and parish community, Weitz strives to complete the project on time and on budget. Weitz has serviced clients that include Temple Beth Israel, Christ the King Church, Florida Nature Culture Center and Valley Presbyterian Church.
Senior Living Construction —
Weitz builds with the senior resident in mind in order to reduce transition anxiety to senior housing or continuing care retirement communities (CCRC). Our philosophy is that the contractor is hired to make a contribution throughout the entire planning, preconstruction, design, financing and construction phases of these extremely complex projects.
Sports and Recreational Construction —
The Weitz Company built the first indoor training facility in the nation to feature a full-sized indoor practice field with 10 yards of sideline and end zone space for Iowa State University. Weitz has also built fitness centers, tracks, racquetball courts, locker rooms, pools and more. Entertainment facilities include auditoriums, film production areas and TV studios.

Whether the project is for a corporation or non-profit organization, we take as much pride in tenant improvements as we do highly visible, large-scale opportunities.
